The PCC of St Margaret’s Church are delighted to announce that they have been successful in their application to the ChurchCare fund and have been awarded a grant towards an environmental survey of the Cowlinge Doom painting.

This grant will enable Opus Conservations, specialists in the conservation of wall paintings, to carry out a full environmental survey that we identify what the threats are to our Doom painting. This will allow us to better plan the first stage of the restoration project, ensuring that the Doom receives the protection is deserves.
