Organ Music for a Summer Evening – 6th July

On the Saturday evening during the church flower festival, we are delighted to be welcoming Christopher Moore, an outstanding organist, to St Margaret’s. The recital will be free, with a retiring collection towards the restoration fund for St Margaret’s Church.

Christopher spent part of his childhood in Cowlinge and played our organ as a boy. He has since played all over the world on many grand organs, but he returns to us to share his passion for organs and to delight in the simplicity of our little organ.

Christopher will present a selection of organ music that showcases the history of the instrument, and will accompany his playing with fascinating explanations of its development.

The evening will start at 7:30 and doors will open at 7:00 for guests to enjoy a complimentary glass of Pimms or fruit punch. While the event is free to attend we would be grateful if you could let us know you are coming so that we can make sure we don’t run out of drinks! You can let us know by emailing us, or by filling in the response field below.
