An Evening of Folk Music with CAMUS

This weekend sees our first concert of the year, with an evening of folk music with CAMUS. We are really looking forward to welcoming them, and you to our church!

CAMUS is a traditional folk band, named after a village in County Galway, featuring Greg Smith (fiddle, viola), Edric Ellis (Northumbrian smallpipes, border pipes), Andrew Burn (melodeons, vocals, Northumbrian small pipes), Brian Cleary (guitar, vocals, bouzouki) and David Somerville (keyboard, Northumbrian small pipes). They play an exciting mix of traditions, with influences from Northumberland, Ireland and Shetland, a dash of bluegrass and Galician, and their own tunes and songs

Here is an example of their music.

If you would like to hear some more of CAMUS’s music then check out their YouTube channel here

As before; tickets are free with a retiring collection that will go towards our project to restore St Margaret’s. Complimentary drinks will be served from 7pm.

Please let us know you are coming so that we don’t run out of drinks!
